Leader directs Islamic nations toward liberation of Palestine: Haniya
In the interview that lasted for one hour, Haniya referred to his meeting with Islamic Revolution Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
"I sincerely found zeal, resolve, sovereignty and help to world of Islam in his disposition," Haniya said about the Iran’s Leader.
"It seemed to me he (Ayatollah Khamenei) is the political leader and military commander that could guide the nations for the liberation of Palestine and the sacred land of Qods," the Premier affirmed.
Haniya confirmed that the meeting was held in a much cordial and instructive atmosphere.
"In the meeting, I talked with Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei about the Palestinian developments, Palestinian principles and aspirations, the Palestinian legitimate right to defend, Arab and Islamic unity issues, as well as U.S. and Zionist plots to sow discord in the region as well as among Shia and Sunni people," Haniya said.
Haniya admiringly said that the Iran has always given all the support to the Palestinian administration formed by Hamas since its very establishment.
Haniya affirmed that at political scene, Hamas proved successful in preserving the rights and aspirations of Palestine and never gave concession under Western pressures.
Haniya also said that the serving government managed to push reform through Palestinian ministries and departments and prevent the plunder and waste of public funds. "It also could forge deep ties between the Palestinian nation and Arab and Islamic countries," he added.
Concerning the Zionist regime's defeat in the 33-day war against Lebanon, Haniya said that the victory was a ‘divine miracle’ and proved that even the Israeli Army could be defeated.
"It carries a great lesson for the followers of resistance: By resistance the Palestinian land could be liberated," he added.
The Premier at the end of his interview with Qodsna expressed satisfaction at the volume and nature of Qodsna's news activity about the Palestinian developments and thanked the news agency for its efforts.
The editorial board of Qodsna handed a memorial plaque to the Premier. The map of the original Palestine along with flags of Palestine and the Islamic Republic of Iran are inscribed side by side.
Besides, the plaque carries quotations from the late Imam Khoemini and Iran’s Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
