Foreign Ministry gives priority to export development
He made the remark in an interview with IRNA while visiting the South Pars facilities at Pars Special Energy and Economic Zone along with a number of ambassadors of foreign countries in Iran as well as Iranian envoys in other states.
"After the successful implementation of oil projects in Venezuela by Iranian companies, it was decided to approach other countries with similar projects," he added.
Sobhani said that during the visit, foreign envoys will get acquainted with Iran's potentials in oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
"The visiting envoys will find the current quick pace of development in Assaluyeh -- marking the potentials of Iran in the field of oil, gas and petrochemical industries -- quite interesting," he added.
The visiting diplomatic delegation includes representatives of Uruguay, Mexico, Hungary, Argentine, Cuba and Brazil among others.
Besides, the delegation is being accompanied by Iranian ambassador to Romania, Foreign Ministry director generals for West Europe as well as Central and North Europe.
The delegation inspected the 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th and 8th phases of gas refinery as well as the petrochemical units of Assaluyeh, Nakhl-Taqi and Khalij-Naiband in Pars Special Energy and Economic Zone.
Twenty eight gas refineries, 25 petrochemical units, three LNG units as well as semi-heavy and heavy industries are planned to be established at Pars Special Energy and Economic Zone.
Five phases of gas refinery have so far been implemented and five more are currently under implementation.
Assaluyeh is situated near the city of Kangan in the southern Bushehr Province.
