TEHRAN -- Tehran Municipality’s Art and Culture Organization opened an exhibition displaying a number of Persian Gulf posters at the metro culture house, which is situated at the Haft-e Tir Station, on Sunday April 29.

Works of 15 young graphic designers are being exhibited in the show, which is entitled ‘Everlasting Persian Gulf’.

“The metro culture house was considered to be the best venue for the showcase as approximately one million people use Tehran’s metro system every day,” said Ali-Akbar Amiri, the director of the Metro Art and Culture Complex ,which is affiliated to Tehran Municipality’s Art and Culture Organization.

“When organizing its exhibitions, the metro culture house tries to focus on young artists in order to support and encourage them in their activities,” he added. The exhibition will run until May 10

The culture house previously displayed works based on the theme of hajj, by photographer Jamshid Bairami, in an exhibition entitled ‘Abraham-like Hajj’.

Tehran Municipality’s Art and Culture Organization is planning to establish 14 other culture houses at metro stations.

The metro culture house of the Haft-e Tir Station also offers courses on carpet weaving, marquetry, and computer sciences, in addition to classes on citizenship rights.
