TEHRAN -- The 23rd edition of the Fajr International Music Festival will be held in TEHRAN from December 21 to 29.

The annual festival is usually held in January, but since January 2008 coincides with the mourning month of Muharram, the gala was brought forward.
Iran’s Music Office announced that Kambiz Roshanravan will be the secretary of the festival.
-----Khavaran to host Palestine poster exhibit
TEHRAN -- Fifty posters from the 2nd International Biennial of Posters in the Islamic World (IBPIW) will be displayed in an exhibit at the Khavaran Cultural Center which opens on October 11.
Sponsored by Tehran’s Palestine Museum of Contemporary Arts, the showcase features posters on the theme of the Palestinian resistance.
IBPIW was held in Tehran from February 21 to April 20, 2007.
----Iran to hold conference on Rumi in Spain
TEHRAN -- A conference on Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi will be held in Madrid from December 5 to 6.
Several Iranian and Spanish scholars will deliver lectures during the event, which is being organized by the Iranian cultural attaché’s office in Spain and the Iranian Institute of Philosophy to commemorate the 800th birth anniversary of Rumi.
