MASHHAD, Khorassan Razavi Prov. -- The National Iranian Gas Company holds 60 percent of Iran’s fossil energy basket, said the NIGC managing director here Saturday.

Seyyed Reza Kassaeizadeh, also the deputy oil minister, added the company has a strong presence across the country, rendering palpable services.
All strata of the society should be provided with gas, said Kassaeizadeh, adding the construction of pipelines beyond the borders will be more beneficial for people, helping develop relations with other countries.
Shifting to South Pars field, the official said five phases of the giant reserve are currently yielding 140 million cu. m. of commodity, announcing initiation of several other phases is on the agenda
