TEHRAN -- Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla will host the 17th International Holy Quran Exhibition from August 16 to September 14.

The exhibit will begin six days before Ramadan to give a greater opportunity to people from other cities to visit the showcase, director of the exhibit Mohammad-Ali Khajepiri mentioned during a press conference on Monday.
The exhibition website can be found at www.qia.ir in three languages -- Persian, English and Arabic and all information required by visitors can be found at this address, he added.
Over 15,000 books from Iran and other countries will be on display including many valuable research books on Quranic issues, he remarked.
The books will not be for sale except for those in a particular section dedicated to this purpose, he said.
He went on to say that almost all Iranian universities will take part in the academic aspects of the event and 60 software companies will be represented.
Iranian and foreign Quran reciters will attend the event and Quran researchers will be honored during the opening and closing ceremonies, he said.
The exhibit will also hold recitation and memorization of Quran sessions for children, Khajepiri said.
