IRGC ground force commander appointed

TEHRAN – The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has appointed Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour as the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps ground force.

In a decree released on Sunday, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei appointed General Pakpour as the IRGC ground force commander and expressed hope that he will discharge his duties properly.
The IRGC commander had proposed Pakpour for the post.
