TEHRAN - The Combatant Clergy Association has appreciated President Hassan Rouhani’s address to the United Nations General Assembly.

Qolamreza Mesbahi Moqaddam, spokesman of the association, in a statement praised the president for his speech, the Jamnews website reported Tuesday.

The speech was logical, modest, clear, and indicative of the president’s logical position over the issues of Iran, the region, and the world and it was to take pride in, the statement read.

Moqaddam also thanked Rouhani for leaving New York earlier than scheduled to participate in the funeral of the victims of the last week’s Hajj crush.
