Each family receive a package consisting of a refrigerator, oven, blankets, carpets and dishes, worth 50 million rials (nearly $1,200), Mokhber noted, SNN reported on Sunday.

The Foundation planned to provide 18,000 packages to send in other flood-ravaged provinces, as well, he added.

Providing financially struggling families with household appliances, compensating for lost livestock, and generating jobs for people in the flood-hit areas are among the important measures taken by the Foundation, he highlighted.

Some 3,000 jobs are scheduled to be created in Golestan province immediately after the incident, he added.

He went on to conclude that “we also distributed 4,000 stationary packages in Golestan province, which will be sent to all provinces battled severe flood nationwide.”
