Israel, US ‘deliberately committing most heinous crimes’: Iran

TEHRAN – The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said on Monday that Israel and the U.S. are indiscriminately striking residential areas, health centers and cultural monuments, calling these acts the “most heinous crimes” that are a source of concern for international community.

“While our brave people mourn the cowardly assassination of Iran’s great leader and the massacre of 165 innocent children by American and Israeli missiles in the city of Minab in southern Iran, Israel and the United States continue to indiscriminately strike residential areas, sparing neither hospitals, schools, Red Crescent facilities, nor cultural monuments,” Baqaei wrote on X.

“These actions constitute the deliberate commission of the most heinous crimes of international concern,” Baqaei regretted.

In the first day of the Israeli-U.S. war on Iran on Saturday, 165 elementary schoolgirls were killed and more than 100 others injured in the city of Minab in the coastal southern province of Hormozgan. The attack on the school is a concrete example of war crime and crime against humanity.

In the second day of the Israeli-U.S. war on Iran, the Gandi and Khatam al-Anbia hospitals in northern Tehran also suffered damages.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman added, “Indifference to this ongoing extreme injustice will only further darken the future of humanity by jeopardizing the shared values upon which our global community stands.”

Israel and the U.S. have intensified their bombardments of cities across Iran.

On Monday, the invading fighter jets struck targets in central, northern, eastern and western Tehran.
