Non-Oil Goods Worth $2.67bn Exported During March-December
The exports registered increases of 13.5 and 11.5 percents in terms of weight and value compared to the figures for the corresponding period of last year, said the report. Hand-woven carpets, valued at $456,974,000, topped the list of exported items. Values of chemicals exported during the period stood at $272,696,000, iron ware and steel at $236,469,000 and pistachios at $231,628,000, said the report.
Some 18,187,000 tons of goods valued at $10.82 billion have been imported during the same period registering a 22.3 and 6 percent increase in terms of weight and value respectively compared to the figures for the previous year.
Industrial machinery, iron ware, electrical appliances, wheat and chemicals were among the most important goods imported during the period.
