MADRID Spain's high court on Wednesday rejected a Russian bid to extradite Vladimir Gusinsky, a victory for the media mogul who says the Kremlin is trying to silence his organization's news coverage. Court sources said two of the three judges at the high court hearing the case had rejected the extradition request, ruling the alleged fraud offences did not represent a crime in Spain. "The decision is against extradition of Mr. Gusinsky," defense lawyer Domingo Plazas told Reuters earlier. Spanish prosecutors may appeal to another panel at the high court against the ruling on behalf of Russian authorities within three days, Plazas said.
