Iranian and Afghan Film Festival in Berlin
A dozen feature-length movies and short films by prominent directors of the two countries will be screened during the event.
“Journey to Kandahar” (Mohsen Makhmalbaf), “At Five in the Afternoon” (Samira Makhmalbaf), “Baran” (Majid Majidi), “Circle” (Ja’far Panahi), “Close-Up” (Abbas Kiarostami), “Marriage of the Blessed” (Mohsen Makhmalbaf), and “Iran or End of One Thousand and One Nights” (Masoud Rajaei) will go on screen.
The short films: “Be Quiet, Children” (Abd al-Rahman Alami), “Melody of Life” (Panah-Barkhoda Rezaei), “Hope to Return” (Fariba Jamali Ne’mati), “Desert” (Zamani Esmati), “God, Construction, Destruction” (Samira Makhmalbaf), and “Lost Window” (Masoud Bakhshi) are also among the entries at the festival.
A discussion panel attended by experts and directors will also be held at the side section of the festival.
