TEHRAN (IRNA) -- The outlines of the budget of the Iranian New Year (starting March 21) was ratified by Majlis Thursday afternoon.

After a two-day debate, the outlines of the budget draft-bill were ratified after hearing the remarks of 51 MPs in favor or against it.

Some 161 votes were given in favor and 31 against the bill, plus seven votes of abstention.

The session on Thursday afternoon was attended by 210 members of parliament, of whom 205 cast their votes.

According to the New Year budget, the resources and expenses stand at 1,909,844,260 billion rials.

The government's revenues and expenses as well as the invested and financial assets comprising the resources of the government's New Year budget are predicted at 582,335,952 billion rials.

The exclusive revenues of ministries and governmental institutes as well as their expenses and other payments thereof have been estimated at 39,025,830 billion rials.
