Bandar Abbas to get rare glimpse of “Excluded and Invisible”
The exhibition, which is being organized by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and IIDCYA, will display over 100 photos taken by children of their surroundings in the Iranian provinces of Kerman, Sistan-Baluchestan, Hormozgan, and West Azarbaijan, and four Iraqi and Afghan refugee camps.
The event, which displays how children’s rights, needs, and ambitions are being ignored in their societies, was held in Tehran and Zahedan, the capital of Sistan-Baluchestan Province, in December and February.
Three Iranian children from Urmia (the capital of West Azarbaijan Province), Bam, and Rafsanjan (cities in Kerman Province), whose works are among the photos being displayed, were honored with awards during the opening ceremony of the Tehran exhibition.
The exhibition continues in Bandar Abbas until March 8 and from there goes to Urmia on March 12 for a five-day run.
