BEIJING (IRNA) – Volume of commercial transactions between Iran and four Chinese provinces stood at about one billion dollars during the first half of 2006, indicating 253 million dollars increase compared to the figure in the same period last year.

China’s Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui recorded a total of 1.5 billion dollars of transactions with Iran during 2005. These provinces’ imports from Iran stood at 234 million dollars during the first half of 2006.

Zhejiang province topped the list with exchanges valued 507 million dollars while Anhui fell in the bottom of the list with 31 million dollars transactions.

Iran and China exchange a variety of products such as motorcycles, bicycles, auto spare parts, furniture, electrical devices, oil and chemical products, and steel.
