Iran's Mar.-Sept. non-oil exports up 58%

TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Iran's non-oil exports in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2006) showed 58 percent boost in value compared to figures released for the same period in the previous year, the media bureau of the Presidential Office said on Monday in a report.

The report was presented during a session of the High Council for Non-Oil Exports presided by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The report placed the value of Iran's non-oil exports at $7.4 billion in the first six months of the current year.

It added that Iran exported 15.9 million tons of non-oil goods to 151 states during the same period, the figure indicating a 44 percent increase compared with the figure released for the same period in the previous year.
