TEHRAN -- The Iranian documentary films “Shekkar Nanny” and “Milkan” are to participate in the 16th edition of the Traces de Vies (Traces of Lives) film festival in Clermont-Ferrand, France, which will be held from November 20 to 26.

The two films were directed by Minu Kiani. “Shekkar Nanny” will be screened in the competition section, and “Milkan” will be shown in the non-competition section.

“Shekkar Nanny” tells the story of a 92-year-old woman called Shekkar who lives in a mountainous area in western Iran’s Kermanshah Province and who was widowed at a young age.

“Milkan” is about Iranian nomad life in the Dalahu region of southwestern Iran, where women mean life.
