TEHRAN -- The bimonthly literary magazine Bokhara will be honoring French anthropologist and filmmaker Jean Rouch (1917-2004) on March 10 at the Naqsh-e Jahan Cultural Center.

Ali Bolukbashi, Nasser Fakuhi, Ali Dehbashi, Mehrdad Oskuii, Mohammad Tahaminejad and Piruz Kalantari will be making speeches on anthropology, cinema and modern documentary cinema including the genre cinéma Vérité to which Rouch’s films mostly belonged.
The event is being cosponsored by Iran’s Academy of Arts and the Iranian Sociology Association.
