TEHRAN – The chairman of the energy commission at the strategic planning center of the Presidential office announced here on Monday that the President has consented with the plan for setting up an Energy Management Organization.

Mehr quoted Esmaeil Saeivar as saying that President Ahmadinejad has a positive point of view towards the plan and has referred it to the Petroleum Ministry for further follow up.
In February 2007 the energy commission had proposed that the government provide its affiliated departments with water, electricity, and gas based on the free market prices and the proposal was approved, the official noted.
