Iranian and Polish cineastes attend meeting in Tehran

TEHRAN -- Iranian cineastes Khosro Sinaii and Omid Rohani and Polish filmmakers including Maciej J. Drygas attended a cordial meeting on Wednesday.
The meeting was held by Poland’s ambassador to Tehran Witold Smidowski in his residence.
Polish documentary filmmakers traveled Iran to take part in the Poland Documentary Panorama of the Cinéma Vérité Festival.
The festival is currently underway at Tehran’s Felestine and Qiam cinemas and also at the University of Art’s Farabi Hall and will continue until October 19.
Parikh to give concert in Tehran
TEHRAN -- Indian sitarist Arvind Parikh will give a solo performance at the Aseman Hall of the Academy of Arts on the evening of October 22.
He will also give a lecture on classical Indian music at the Art Research Center in the morning.
Arvind Parikh is one of India’s leading sitarists. He is the senior-most disciple of the late Ustad Vilayat Khan, the great Indian sitar maestro..
