TEHRAN (ISNA)- Talks between Iran and Bahrain on Iran’s gas exports are successfully underway, Iranian Oil Minister Gholamhossein Nozari said.

The two sides have concluded the cooperation framework and the work teams are taking necessary actions, he added.
Gas export deals are normally concluded for long-term and include a large amount, he said adding expert teams of the countries will discuss the issues during their upcoming talks.
Tehran and Manama signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Iran’s gas export following Iranian President’s trip to the city last November.
According to the deal Iran will pump one million cubic feet of natural gas daily to Bahrain.
Iran has been selected as the first choice for oil extraction and delivery to Bahrain. The Arab state seeks receiving one billion cubic feet of natural gas from Iran.
