TEHRAN -- An Iranian theater troupe plans to perform a fantasy during an Iranian cultural festival in Toronto next week.

The troupe will stage “As Iran” in three performances, director and playwright Behzad Javedanfar told the Persian service of ISNA on Tuesday.
The story of the play is set in Iranian contemporary society, in which the youth are disappointed and feel they face a gloomy forecast of the future. In the meantime, they begin to reflect upon their ancestors, remembering that one of them was a musician, one was a carpet weaver, one a farmer, and another a potter.
Each of the antecedents gives details about their traditions and customs and consequently, they reunite.
Hamid Asghari, Hamidreza Jokar, Bahdor Fazel and Fariba Izadshenas are the main members the troupe, which is scheduled to leave Tehran for Toronto today
