TEHRAN - The government will present the next year’s national budget bill as well as the sixth development plan to the Majlis next week, government spokesman Mohammad Baqer Nobakht announced on Tuesday.

Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, he said the next year budget bill and the sixth development plan are prepared at the moment but for certain reasons the cabinet decided to present it to parliament next week.

As laws state, he said, the cabinet has already drafted a report on the implementation process of the development plan in three volumes which will be disclosed.

The spokesman also commented on the planned visit of President Hassan Rouhani to Italy and France as well as a trip to Iran by Chinese President Xi Jinping in the near future.

During Xi’s visit, he said, Iran and China will sign a number of agreements and documents.

Nobakht said the visit of the Iranian president to Italy and France which is to take place upon invitations by his counterparts will serve to prepare the ground for promotion of relations and further investment of European companies in Ian.

With the implementation of the JCPOA, he said in another part of his comments, sanctions will be lifted, resulting in increasing oil exports and the access of the Central Bank of Iran to its foreign resources.

Once the nuclear deal comes into force, Nobakht added, the country will experience the presence of foreign investors.

On tensions between Tehran and Riyadh, he said the government slammed the execution of Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr by the Saudi government and officially condemned it but at the same time it intends to file a complaint in court against those who attacked the Saudi embassy in Tehran to prove that it would not tolerate any illegal and uncivil behavior.

He said such a behavior depicted a very “untrue” image of Iran in the world public opinion.

Nobakht added there are serious doubts as to the intention of “those who misled the world public opinion from Iran’s great culture and civilization to violence.”
