“Sormeh” crowned best at Italian film festival

TEHRAN – Iranian director Azadeh Qochaq’s short film “Sormeh” has won the best film award at the

11th Dieciminuti Film Festival, which was held in the Italian city of Ceccano from January 26 to 30.
The movie is about a young woman who is getting ready for her wedding ceremony in the heat of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Dozens of shorts by filmmakers from France, the UK, Finland, Bahrain, Finland, the U.S., Norway and other countries were screened at the event.
