Iranian animations competing in Czech Anifilm festival

TEHRAN – Two Iranian movies are competing in Anifilm, an international festival of animated films, which is underway in Trebon, Czech Republic.

“Entr’acte” by Seyyed Mohamadreza Kheradmandan was selected for the international competition of short films while “Ascribed Achievements” by Samaneh Shojaei will be screened the international competition of student films.

The 3D animated film “Entr’acte” is based on the story of Israeli sniper David D. Ovadia who boasted of murdering 13 Gazan children in one day.

“Ascribed Achievements” is about a man who is dissatisfied with his hereditary appearance so he decides to end his life. But his failed suicide creates a new situation in his life.

The festival will be announcing winners on the closing day, May 7.
