TEHRAN – A top lawmaker has said that CIA chief’s letter to Major General Qassem Soleimani manifests Iran’s power in the region.

Kamal Dehqani Firouzabadi, the vice chairman of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, told IRNA that General Soleimani’s decision to refuse to open the letter shows his cleverness.

CIA Director Mike Pompeo said last week that he sent a letter to General Soleimani, who commands the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), but the Iranian general refused to open the letter.
