TEHRAN - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani have held a phone conversation.

Araghchi expressed gratitude for a congratulatory message from the King of Bahrain, Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, and briefed his opposite number on the developments pertinent to the Iran-U.S. nuclear talks.

The top Bahraini diplomat, in turn, thanked the Iranian foreign minister for his remarks, expressing hope that the talks will continue until a result is achieved.
The two top diplomats also highlighted the need to continue consultations between the two countries.

Iran marked the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution on Wednesday.  A considerable number of heads of state and government, including Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, have felicitated Iran on the occasion.

The relations between Iran and its southern Arab neighbors have increased considerably.  The officials of these countries have acted as intermediaries between Iran and the United States, leading to a resumption of nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington.  The first round of talks was held on February 6 in Muscat, Oman. The next round of talks is going to be held next week.
