TEHRAN - Iran national football team remained 21st in the latest FIFA world ranking released on Thursday

Team Melli lost to Nigeria 2-1and defeated Costa Rica 5-0 Friday and Tuesday, respectively.

Japan still are the best Asian team in the ranking, sitting in the 18th place. 

France moved up two spots to the first, followed by Spain and Argentina. 

Iran prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where Persians are drawn in Group G along with Belgium, Egypt and New Zealand.
