TEHRAN - The Director of the East Azarbaijan Islamic Propagation Organization, Hojjatoleslam Mohammadreza Tajeddini, said that a congress in honor of Allameh Seyed Mohammad Hossein Tabatabaei will be held in winter in Tabriz.

Tajeddini added that the congress is being held on the occasion of the centennial of the birth of Tabatabaei.

Shedding light on different aspects of Tabatabaei's books and Qoranic exegeses and familiarizing the youth with Qoranic sciences are the main goals of the congress, he added.

Allameh Tabatabaei was a prominent religious scholar and an expert in the fields of philosophy, mysticism, literature, and poetry, he said.

East Azarbaijan Province is the birthplace of Iranian religious scholars Allameh Tabatabaie and Allameh Ja'fari.
