    Free speech opponents preparing to legalize censorship in the West

     A large number of governments, authorities, officials in many world countries and even some pro-democracy activists in the West have found countering dissemination of fake news and misinformation amid coronavirus pandemic as good pretexts to stifle opposite voices, worrying human rights activists about an awful future for the freedom of speech and media.

    Iran launches campaign against Instagram censorship of posts on Soleimani’s assassination   

    TEHRAN – The Iran Digital Media Organization of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has announced that it has launched a campaign against Instagram over suspending dozens of Iranian accounts and deleting numerous Iranian users’ posts condemning the assassination of Quds Force chief Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani by the U.S. government.

    “Emperor of Hell” neutralized by censorship: producer

    TEHRAN – Producer Mohammad Khazaei has said that his movie “Emperor of Hell” on the key role of Saudi muftis in the rise of Daesh has been nullified in the wake of state censorship.
