    Paris photo exhibit commemorates Abbas Kiarostami

    Parisians visit an exhibition of photos underway at the Gallery 21 in the French capital on November 18, 2019 to commemorate the legendary Iranian filmmaker and photographer Abbas Kiarostami. The collection was built by a group of Iranian photographers inspired by poems from Kiarostami’s book “Wind and Leaf” The exhibit, which also takes its title from the book, will be running until November 23. Photographer Babak Borzuyeh is the curator of the exhibit, which is being organized by Sheednegar Academy in Tehran in collaboration with the Farabi Cinema Foundation.

    “Everywhere for Everyone” on display in Paris

    An exhibition of photos of Iran’s recent flood under the title “Everywhere for Everyone” opens at the venue of Iran's cultural attache office in Paris on Saturday. The opening ceremony was attended by Iran's ambassador to France Bahram Qasemi, Iran's cultural attache to Paris Jamal Kamyab and photojournalist Michel Setboun who shoot over 45,000 photos of 1979 Islamic Revolution. A collection of photos depicting people and the Iranian Red Crescent in the flood-stricken regions helping victims of the devastation that occurred in the provinces of Golestan, Lorestan and Khuzestan showcased previously at the pavilion of Iran’s Farabi Cinema Foundation at the Cannes Film Festival from May 22 to 24

    An exhibition of photos of Iran’s recent flood under the title “Everywhere for Everyone” was opened at the Cannes Film Market on May 22. A collection of photos depicting people and the Iranian Red Crescent in the flood-stricken regions helping victims of the devastation that occurred in the provinces of Golestan, Lorestan and Khuzestan showcased at the pavilion of Iran’s Farabi Cinema Foundation for the last two days of the market. The event is cosponsored by the Farabi Cinema Foundation,Iranian Red Crescent Society and Iran's cultural attache office in France

    Water photo festival opens in Tehran

    The fourth water photo festival pivoting on water shortage in the county opened in Tehran on Monday. The 8-day exhibit opened in Palestine Museum of Contemporary Art with secretary general of Iranian National Commission for UNESCO Hojatollah Ayoubi, Chairman of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Gholam-Hossein Shafei, acting director of the national center for strategic studies on water and agriculture Mohammad Hossein Shariatmadari, the secretary of the festival Babak Borzouye and other cultural officials in attendance. Over the opening ceremony of the exhibit 5 photographers were lauded.
