TEHRAN – Iran’s Saba Battery tamed the Syrian basketball side Al-Jala 92-64 here Wednesday to waltz into the semifinals of the Asian tournament.

Supported by home fans in the hall of Azadi Sports Complex in western Tehran, the Group B-bound Saba extended its winning streak with a 17-19, 19-20, 26-11, 30-14 victory.

Saba advanced to the last four as the top team of Group B.
