TEHRAN – The “positive remarks” by Arab leaders prove there is no Iranophobia in the region, Foreign Ministry spokesman told reporters here on Tuesday.

Hassan Qashqavi made a reference to Iranian foreign minister’s visits to six Arab states and said none of these countries believed Iran poses any threats to the region.
He also said foreign minister’s trip to Saudi Arabia was not a “surprise visit” and that it was scheduled in line with regular talks that are held between Iran and regional countries.
On possible new U.S. sanctions against Iran, he said a “sanction is a dream that will never come true”.
He added that Iran’s achievements including the launch of Omid satellite, inauguration of phases 9 and 10 of the South Pars gas field, Iran-China multibillion dollar contracts, and Tehran-Moscow energy agreements signify that U.S. sanctions against Iran have never been effective.
He went on to say that he does not know whether President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would attend the Arab League meeting or not.
The Arab League is to hold its annual summit in Doha, Qatar, on March 29-30.
Also on the Afghanistan summit, he said Iran has not received any official invitation so far, therefore it cannot consider the participation in the meeting.
According to BBC, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said recently in Brussels that Iran should be included in the Afghanistan summit.
