TEHRAN -- Iran explored over 2 billion tons of minerals during the fourth Socio-Economic Development Plan (2005-2010).

According to ILNA News Agency 50 projects have been implemented during the mentioned period.
Some 936 million tons of ironstone, 837 million tons of copper, 105 million tons of coal, 470,000 tons of gold and 65 million tons of titanium have been discovered
