Iranian paintings market offers low priced works

TEHRAN – The Iranian first market of paintings is offering an excellent opportunity for Tehrani citizens to purchase valuable artworks at very reasonable prices.
Tehran’s Barg Gallery is playing host to the market where works by some 700 artists are on sale at the very low price of 1m rials (about $1000), director of the Iranian Painters Association, Jamshid Haqiqatshenas, told the Persian service of Fars News Agency.Each artist is displaying about 10 works and thousands of works have been sold so far, he added.
This is a great opportunity for visitors who were previously unable to afford artworks because of high prices.
Veteran artists, including Qobad Shiva, Ahmad Vakili, Homayun Salimi and Ebrahim Jafari are also offering their works for sale.
The sale will run until Friday at the gallery located at No.13 Jamali St., off Vafamanesh Ave., in Heravi Square
