Navy thwarts fuel smuggling attempt in Persian Gulf

TEHRAN – Iranian naval forces have seized a Tanzanian tanker which was attempting to smuggle fuel out of Iran.

The tanker has been seized by the naval forces in the east of the Strait of Hormuz near the port town of Sirik while it was loading up 330,000 litters of smuggled diesel from an Iranian vessel.
