‘Iran’s area calculated at 1,873,959 sq km’

altTEHRAN – According to a new accurate measurement recently conducted by the Iranian Armed Forces, in which the areas of islands belonging to Iran were included, Iran’s geographical area was calculated at 1,873,959 square kilometers, Mohammad Hassan-Nami, an official at the Geographical Organization of Iranian Armed Forces told the Mehr News Agency on Monday. Iran’s area was previously calculated at 1,648,195 square kilometers.
