TEHRAN – Prominent Iranian filmmaker Rakhshan Bani-Etemad’s 1995 acclaimed drama “The Blue-Veiled” will be screened at the Cinematheque of the Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) at 5:30 p.m. today.

The screening will be followed by a review session, which will be attended by members of the cast and crew of the film.

“The Blue-Veiled” starring Fatemeh Motamed-Arya and Ezzatollah Entezami is about Rasul, an elderly owner of a tomato farm and sauce factory who falls in love with one of the poor workers of the factory after his wife’s death.

But with differences in class and age worrying his tradition-bound family, Rasul might not be able to pursue his newfound love.

Winner of the Bronze Leopard of Locarno International Film Festival in 1995, “The Blue-Veiled” is the 13th most popular film in the history of Iranian cinema after the Islamic revolution.
