Iran’s kumite team advances to Karate World Championships final

Iran’s kumite team qualified for the final match of the 23rd edition of the Karate World Championships on Friday.
Iran defeated France 3-0 in the semi-final and qualified for the final match for the second successive year.
Iran defeated host Germany in the 2014 Karate World Championships and won the title.
Team Melli consists of Zabihollah Pourshab, Iman Sanchuli, Saeid Ahmadi, Bahman Askari, Ali Fadakar, Sajjad Ganjzadeh, and Mehdi Khodabakhshi in the competition.
The prestigious competition is being held in the Austrian city of Linz from October 25 to 30.
