Ashgabat to host Iranian artists for cultural festival

TEHRAN – An Iranian cultural festival will open at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat on Wednesday.

Variety of programs, including concerts, film screenings and exhibitions of Persian handicrafts, have been arranged for the 3-day event, Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) announced in a press release on Monday.

The festival at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater is scheduled to come to an end on Friday with a joint performance by musicians from the two countries.

Plans are for the Iranian artists invited to the country to visit tourist attractions and historical sites of the country during their stay.

The ICRO is the main organizers of the festival.
