DEFC to review “My Mother, My Tribe”

TEHRAN – The Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC) plans to review Ezzatollah Parvazeh’s acclaimed documentary “My Mother, My Tribe” this evening.

The review will be held after a screening at 5 p.m. along with critic Ahmad Talebinejad and Parvazeh, the DEFC announced on Saturday.

“My Mother, My Tribe” about Masumeh Bahmanbeigi, an Iranian nomad woman who migrates to Tehran to raise her visually-impaired children that succeeded in music and literature.

In December 2017, the film won the special jury award at the 11th Cinema Verite festival, Iran’s major international festival of documentary cinema that is organized by the DEFC every year.

The screening is open to the public and there is no admission charge.
