DAMASCUS Syrian weekly Teshrin al-Osbouei on Wednesday extolled Iran' foreign policy for efforts to develop relations with the countries across the world.
The weekly said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran has managed to boost more and more its relations with the different countries in the world." Pointing to the growing relations between Iran and the Persian Gulf littoral states, the periodical said the Tehran-Cairo relations are following an improvement trend too.
The weekly described the Iran-Syria ties as "deep and very positive." Teshrin expressed hope that the meeting between President Khatami and his Algerian counterpart on the sidelines of the Third Millennium Summit in New York would result in resumption of Tehran-Algiers diplomatic ties.
