Displaced families targeted near hospitals and schools in Gaza City

Gaza City reeled after a pre-dawn barrage struck sites sheltering displaced families, including a tent near al-Wafa Hospital and the Al-Farabi School, where people had been sleeping for months.

According to Al Jazeera, citing medical sources, at least 17 Palestinians were killed since dawn, among them eight at the school-turned-shelter and multiple children in Sheikh Radwan and Remal; dozens were wounded in a night described as terrifying by survivors.

The school was hit around 3 am, as crowded makeshift camps in central Gaza again absorbed the violence.

An ambulance official said tents near the Legislative Council and al-Wafa were also targeted, killing two children and wounding many more.

The strikes come as famine confirmed by the IPC spreads from northern Gaza, with over 387 malnutrition deaths, including 138 children—evidence, many humanitarian observers and rights groups say, of a war punishing civilians already uprooted and hungry.
