TEHRAN The 3rd Maqami Traditional Music Festival wound up in the city of Qaemshahr, Mazandaran Province, on Friday.

According to the director of the festival, Mahdi Kohansal, the festival aimed to encourage musicians of Mazandaran Province.

He said that seven local and three traditional music groups performed during the festival, adding that some 20 musicians gave solo performances.

Six people were on the jury, four in the Traditional Music Section and two in the Local Music Section.
