Missing FBI memos contain sexual abuse claims against Trump
The Guardian reported Thursday that it has reviewed three missing FBI memos from 2019 containing explicit but unsubstantiated claims that Donald Trump sexually abused a minor in the early 1980s with Jeffrey Epstein’s assistance.
While the Department of Justice omitted these records from a massive Epstein-related file release, their existence was confirmed by NPR, sparking a congressional inquiry led by Representative Robert Garcia.
The documents describe 25 pages of notes from four interviews with a woman who claimed Epstein took her to a building in New York or New Jersey, where Trump assaulted her.
However, the FBI never brought charges, noting that her statements often appeared outlandish and contradicted known facts about Epstein’s life during that period.
Trump has consistently denied wrongdoing, stating, “I did nothing,” while administration officials defend the omission of the files as a standard exclusion of “duplicative” or “non-credible” material.
The woman’s account included claims of blackmail and money laundering, yet investigators were unable to corroborate key details, such as her mother’s alleged prison term.
Furthermore, the claimant has faced various fraud and theft charges in recent years and previously dropped a related lawsuit against the Epstein estate.
Despite these credibility concerns, House Democrats have labeled the missing files evidence of a “cover-up,” with Garcia demanding that Attorney General Pam Bondi provide a full accounting of why the interviews were withheld.
