Iranian, Saudi Sports Officials Sign MOU

TEHRAN -- Following the Enactment of Clause 3 of General Agreements between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia contracted in 1998, the Iranian Official Mostafa Hashemi-Taba and Emir Sultan bin Fahd of Saudi Arabia signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on sports cooperation.

The MOU urges the two sides to have regional and international cooperation in the field of sports and the affairs of the youth.

Also, the two countries have agreed upon training athletic, technical and coaching groups and holding local, regional and international gatherings, IRNA said.

According to the memorandum of understanding, the two states will exchange their technical, administrative, medical experiences as well as sports higher education and they have put great emphasis on combating doping.
