"Kanoun-School" Project to Be Implemented in Country

TEHRAN Cultural deputy of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (CIDCYA) said that a project named "Kanoun-School" will be implemented in the country jointly by the CIDCYA and the Ministry of Education.
Speaking to IRNA, Qassem Karimi noted that the project will be put into operation across the country in September.
He added that the project aims to familiarize teachers and students with the teaching methods and programs of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.
Karimi noted that it also provides students with cultural and artistic facilities of CIDCYA.
Elaborating on the activities of CIDCYA, Karimi said that some 16 cultural and artistic centers for children and young adults were established by CIDCYA in different parts of the country this year.
He added that some 34 other centers will start work in the country by the end of the year, saying that currently some 435 cultural and artistic centers of CIDCYA with 600,000 members are active across the country.
Karimi concluded by saying that 50 libraries in urban and 28 libraries in rural areas render services to children and young adults and that CIDCYA's libraries are active in 600 villages.
