Israeli strikes devastate Gaza City as families flee westward

Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip since dawn Friday have killed dozens of Palestinians, including children, according to medical sources cited by Al Jazeera.
At least 30 were killed in Gaza City alone, where residents are being pushed westward in what correspondent Tareq Abu Azzoum warned is only “a matter of time” before that area faces “mass destruction” as well.
The Israeli military has targeted displaced families sheltering in tents and temporary structures. In Tal al-Hawa, Maha Afana described finding her son and daughter lifeless after a drone strike.
In central Gaza’s Nuseirat camp, Umm Nabil al-Aish lost relatives in an attack on makeshift shelters, lamenting that Palestinians are “starved, deprived of water, displaced and killed… while the world is watching.” An airstrike on a vehicle in Deir el-Balah killed four people, Al Jazeera reported, citing Al-Aqsa Hospital.
The escalation comes amid Israel’s ongoing offensive to seize Gaza City — launched in late August — a campaign that has already displaced thousands into areas that continue to face heavy bombardment.
