TEHRAN – Iran defeated India 39-16 in Group IV of the 2026 Asian Handball Championship on Thursday.

Team Melli will meet Australia on Friday and China on Sunday, respectively.

The 2026 Asian Men's Handball Championship is the 22nd edition of the Asian Men's Handball Championship, the biennial international men's handball championship of Asia and Oceania organized by AHF.

The tournament is held from Jan. 15 to 29 in Sabah Al-Salem, Kuwait.
